The Standard, Hua Hin goes into party mode as summer winds down thanks to an amazing lineup of events ranging from a colourful fiesta for Halloween and the launch of its first ever Fun Retreat Activity Ice, Ice, Beach.
This month’s happenings kicked off on 12th October with Standard Sounds x T-Bone aRootstic by Gap & Golf where the resort’s music division featured iconic Thai reggae and ska ensemble T-Bone.
The event began with poolside beats spun by DJ Deejai, then followed by T-Bone’s live performance in the early evening.
For a healthier mind and body
13th October saw the launch of Ice, Ice, Beach, a wellness collaboration with natural health practitioners community Vedana.
The launch event was an afternoon of transformative practices for the mind, body and soul.
These included a cacao ceremony to promote genuine connections with oneself and others; guided breathwork to reduce stress, boost vitality and improve mental clarity; an invigorating ice bath; a sound healing workshop for better circulation and reduced inflammation; and yoga.
A spooktacular sensation
The end of the month brings with it the nightmarishly fun Not Your Standard Bingo: Halloween Editions.
Taking place at Lido on 24 October, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, the night featuring a special spooky menu promises to chill unsuspecting bingo players to the bone.
A week later, on 1 November, the Day of the Dead: Beach Party invites everyone to hit the ghost town with Latin, Afro, deep house and techno rhythms as the resort celebrates Mexico’s Día de los Muertos.
An optional face painting session (THB 1,000 per person), tacos and tequila, guests flow on the beachfront lawn to the beats of DJs Bonita Everitt, Celeste Siam, Rujaya and Deejai.
