At the heart of Ascott Australia is a commitment to being inclusive and putting people first.
Managing director Ascott Australia, David Mansfield said: Ascott Australia is leading the way in the hospitality industry from the top down as a people first and purpose led business. Part of maintaining our position as one of the best places to work is acknowledging the areas we can improve on. We continue to walk the talk in nurturing a culture where everyone belongs, understands they are valued and has the freedom to be themselves.”

“In the last 12 months we’ve built a better business that’s earned the trust of guests, business partners, and our employees. In December 2022, we formalised our ongoing commitment to gender equality through a revised Gender Equality Strategy. Working closely with the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA), Ascott introduced policies on parental leave, gender balance and workplace bias.”

Ascott Australia GM People & Culture, Paul Marinoni said: “Flexibility in the post pandemic workplace isn’t an optional extra, all applicants expect it — and this was clear to see from over 1,000 applications to work at Ascott Australia in the last year. With research showing that diverse workplaces directly lead to improved performance outcomes, Human Resources teams have a leading role to play in listening to employees and giving them the opportunity and support to champion the change they want to see in their workplaces.”

“This award and ranking are a powerful reinforcement of the culture we’re building here at Ascott Australia. Through improving our employee support frameworks to ensure everyone feels safe, empowered and trusted to perform their roles, we’re ensuring Ascott remains a great place to work.”
