Princess Cruises is thrilled to announce the return of the iconic Grand Princess to San Juan, Puerto Rico. From October 2025 to March 2026, the Grand Princess will embark on a season of Southern Caribbean adventures, setting sail from this vibrant capital city. This unique voyage promises an enriched experience, with more port visits than any other 7-day Caribbean cruise by Princess. The highly anticipated cruises will be available for booking from May 16, offering a one-of-a-kind opportunity to explore the Southern Caribbean.

Terry Thornton, Princess Cruises’ Chief Commercial Officer, expressed his enthusiasm for the return: “After more than a decade, we’re reconnecting with a port that’s not only rich in history and charm but also expanding our departure points across North America. Puerto Rico’s growth as a Caribbean destination and increased airlift from the U.S., Europe, and South America makes it an ideal fit for our guests.”

Originally planned for voyages in Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific, the Grand Princess is now offering two exclusive seven-night itineraries. These unique routes feature five distinct and highly rated Southern Caribbean destinations, many of which are not accessible on similar cruises departing from Florida. This is a rare opportunity to explore the hidden gems of the Southern Caribbean, making your journey truly unforgettable.

Carlos Mercado Santiago, Executive Director of the Puerto Rico Tourism Company, expressed his excitement, “We’re thrilled to welcome Princess Cruises back to the Port of San Juan. This move reaffirms our position as the leading homeport in the region and is a boon for economic development in Puerto Rico and our regional partners.”

The Grand Princess itineraries include a diverse range of Caribbean gems, from the tranquil shores of Tortola to the spice island of Grenada and the lively streets of Barbados. Guests can combine itineraries for an extended 14-day exploration of the Caribbean’s most enchanting destinations.

Onboard the 2,600-guest Grand Princess, travelers can indulge in various culinary delights, relax in The Sanctuary, enjoy Movies Under the Stars, and be entertained by Broadway-style productions. The Princess MedallionClass experience offers personalized vacations with cutting-edge technology, including MedallionNet, the best WiFi at sea, and touchless services.

Moreover, the Princess Plus and Premier inclusive packages enhance the vacation value, allowing guests to save significantly on essentials like gratuities, WiFi, and beverages, adding convenience and enjoyment to their journey.
